2024
What happened in the first week?
Pim planned our first date for 7:30 in the morning (yes, AM), only to cancel 20 minutes before we were supposed to meet.
Luckily, we gave it another go that Sunday at R. De Rosa, and things moved pretty quickly from there. We shared a bottle of wine, had our first kiss less than an hour after meeting, took our first photo together an hour later, and somehow ended up at a fancy restaurant for dinner. Not a bad first date!
The next day, Pim called Darina to ask if she fancied lunch in De Pijp. The catch? She had exactly 20 minutes to get ready.
The day after Darina organised a surprise dinner for Pim. By the end of the evening, he asked, “Do you want to meet my sister?” So off we went to meet Amber.
Little secret, that night Pim dropped the (actual) first “I love you”…
The following day, Pim leaves Darina his apartment keys before going to Italy for Bas and Sabrinas wedding, and he never got them back.
February
2025
Valentines day, was the day Darina’s ex found a new place to stay, which opened the doors, literally, for Pim. That same day, he moved in with Darina in De Pijp.
October
2024
In early October, we took our first weekend trip together to Antwerp, which has since become our favourite city break. It was there, over a bottle of Gamay from our now-favourite winemaker, that we exchanged our first official “I love you”.
December
2024
Next came meeting the parents. Darina met Roel and Scarlett first, before taking Pim on a trip to the Newcastle to meet Aziz and Marina. Things were getting serious!
August
2025
After a solid 10 months of dating, and 6 months living together…naturally Pim and Darina bought a house (without bidding a single euro over the asking price).
June
2026
A amazing and special trip to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
After a full week of driving, hiking and falling in love with ‘The Stans’, Pim found the perfect Peak to ask Darina that special question.
That 3.000m high peak, is now officially known (in All-Trails) as ‘Mohamuns Peak’.
